Oenothera perennis

small sundrops

A sun-loving perennial, Oenothera perennis thrives in well-drained, sandy or loamy soils. Its striking yellow flowers open at dusk, attracting evening pollinators like moths. The plant also provides nectar to bees during the day, and its seeds are eaten by birds. With its graceful, evening bloom, it’s a charming addition to meadows and gardens that focus on supporting nocturnal pollinators.
